CASA Volunteer Application Process & Timeline

CASA is the only volunteer organization that empowers everyday citizens to be appointed by the Court. In an overburdened social welfare system, abused and neglected children often slip through the cracks among hundreds of current cases. CASA volunteers change that. Volunteers typically handle just one case at a time - and commit to staying on that case until the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. While others may come and go, CASA volunteers provide that one constant that children need in order to thrive. Are you ready to stand up for a child who needs you?

Voices For Children CASA accepts applications from October 1 through January 31. Training takes place over a three week period beginning at the end of February. For the protection of our volunteers and the children they work with, we require a thorough screening and interview process. You must be at least 21 years old to apply.

Once your application is received and reviewed you will be contacted to arrange a date and time for an in person interview. After a successful interview you will be invited to attend our mandatory training program. You must be able to attend every session. :

Volunteer Orientations

Informational meetings are held throughout the year for those interested in applying to become a volunteer. Although attendance at an orientation is not required before applying, the meetings are a great opportunity to hear about what it's like to be a CASA from experienced CASA volunteers.
